Once I heard "Every Little Thing" on the Christianrock.net radio, I was counting down the days until their album was released! It's the best Christian rock cd I've ever had.

I've been listening to Hawk Nelson for awhile, since they first signed to tooth and nail (about a year ago). And I have to say this album is awesome. It's much better than their freshman release. The style is fresh and the music is encouraging. I highly recommend it.

These guys are like a mix of Relient K and Simple Plan (Simple Plan's sound, but with talent!!!). "Every Little Thing" is destined to become an anthem for every guy who has ever been in high school. It's all of our dreams to find a girl like this... These guys should be a mainstay in Christian rock for a long time, and that means we have a lot to look forward to! This is a great buy for fans of punk and rockers, too. Super catchy tunes and great lyrics make for one of the top CDs of 2004 so far! Rock on, Christians!

Hawk Nelson blasts off August 15th, 2004

With every band and their mama trying to pull off the ever popular pop/punk/emo sound made famous by countless bands all over the country, many of these bands fade out due to their lack of substance and inability to connect with a wide audience instead of just a partial few. Hawk Nelson has succeeded in creating an album of fun, guitar-driven rawk that embraces a sound that many bands throw out there, yet fill with emotional substance. With production courtesy of mega producer Aaron Sprinkle and Thousand Foot Krutch lead singer Trevor McNeven (who also duets on a track), Letters to the President is a great addition to any collection! Standout tracks include California, Like a Racecar, and Every Little Thing.

PopPunk with THE Message August 16th, 2004

Yellowcard? Simple Plan? Good Charlotte? Yeah, Hawk Nelson's sound is far from unique . . . but boy, do they pack a punch in the lyrics department. Far from overloading their lyrics with deep theological intonations and cryptic feelings-based thoughts, they lay out the truth of the Gospel, in bits and pieces, all the while having a good old time playing their music.
Their sound is very similar to FM Static (who I love), but ultimately better for its variation of fast ("Letters to the President") and slow ("Take Me") songs. All in all, a great cd for Christian music fans anywhere . . . and a great way to get your high school child and/or friend to listen to some wholesome music.

If you are looking for Christian alternatives to Simple Plan, Blink 182, ETC, then Hawk Nelson is exactly what you're looking for! Being only their debut album from Tooth and Nail records, this CD really makes an impact. The awesome thing about this band is that they are not ashamed to say the name "Jesus" like so many others in the same genre. With amazing lyrics and awesome music, this album deserves all five stars.

"You guys have been so nice and easy to deal with...it's
very refreshing! Most companies don't care about giving good customer service anymore, so great companies like yours deserves praise. I'll pass the word on about your company..."
